The Cerro Juli Convention Center will be modernized with a planned investment of S/ 30 million

• Major world-class events such as the PERUMIN Mining Convention are held at this site in Arequipa.

The Cerro Juli Business Association announced that it plans to invest 

S/30 million in the Cerro Juli Convention Center as part of its plan to showcase Arequipa as a reference for international events.

It is noteworthy that in recent years major events of worldwide interest have been held in Arequipa at the fairground facilities, such as the PERUMIN Mining Convention, the Arequipa International Fair (FIA), and several concerts by international artists.

Due to this, the master plan of the business association proposes the setting up of removable structures that will make the venue the best option for events of international scale, especially considering that Peru, being part of the Pacific Alliance, competes with Chile, Colombia and Mexico for the organization of international meetings.

The Cerro Juli fairground has an extension of 14 hectares, of which 8 are enabled for the different events that it houses, and the rest are areas of roads and groves.

PERUMIN 36

PERUMIN 36, an event organized by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers, will take place from September 25 to 29 at the Cerro Juli Convention Center, bringing together the most prominent leaders of the global mining sector, investors, researchers and professionals to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the mining industry.
