PERUMIN 36 will include a forum on Future Mining, addressing issues of digitization and energy transition
  • The “Future Mining” forum will be held on September 25 from 4:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. and will be attended by experts from the global mining industry.

As part of its new programs, PERUMIN 36th Mining Convention will carry out the "Future Mining" forum. This program will be open to attendees and will take place during the first day of the mining event, which will be held at the Cerro Juli Convention Center in Arequipa, from September 25 to 29.

Aiming to explore critical issues for the sustainable development of the mining industry, the forum will have six conferences that will address topics related to energy transition, climate change, digital transformation, innovation in mining policies, among others.

Engineer Miguel Cardozo, president of PERUMIN 36, highlighted that a world-class event such as PERUMIN always requires to be at the forefront, taking an in-depth look at topics that are trending in the industry. "It is important to mention the articulated work with the participating companies. Thanks to their experience, we will learn first-hand about good practices in the sector," he pointed out.

Representatives from Wood MacKenzie, Minera Buenaventura, International Copper Association (ICA), Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Company and the consulting firm NTT Data will be part of this program that will take place in the plenary room of the Mining Convention.
