Víctor Gobitz

Víctor Gobitz is President and Chief Executive Officer of Compañía Minera Antamina. Previously, he served as CEO of Buenaventura and Milpo mining companies. 

Mr. Gobitz holds a degree in Mining Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, an MBA from ESAN and specialization studies at the Wharton School and the Kellogg School of Management. 

Mr. Gobitz has more than 25 years of experience in mining operations and mining projects. He was President of the Board of Directors of the Instituto de Ingenieros de Minas del Perú (IIMP) in 2 different periods and is currently President of the Sociedad Nacional de Minería, Petróleo y Energía (SNMPE) for the period 2023-2024. He is also a part-time professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and at Gerens Escuela de Negocios, where he teaches Mining Management courses.
