Oscar González Rocha

Oscar Gonzalez Rocha has been president of Southern Peru since 1999 and is a successful businessman with more than 47 years of experience in the mining industry.  Throughout his professional life, he has received distinctions such as "The Copper Man of The Year", American Mining Hall of Fame and the Mexican Mining Hall of Fame. In addition, he is a member of the board of directors of educational and charitable institutions.

Mr. Gonzalez Rocha is also President and Chief Executive Officer of Southern Copper Corporation, our parent company, Asarco LLC (an integrated copper producer in the United States) and Americas Mining Corporation, a holding company of Grupo Mexico, and is a member of the board of directors of this business group.
