In his 25 years of professional experience he has held positions of responsibility at Newmont, Antamina, Cementos Lima and Glencore. 

His academic training includes the title of Mining Engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Master's in Mining Engineering and Master's in Environmental Sciences from the University of Idaho - USA. Master in Business Administration from the Senior Management Program of the University of Piura. Professional development studies at the University of Cambridge, Harvard University and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.
