Carlos Diez Canseco
Committee Member
Degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico, with postgraduate studies at the London School of Economics & Political Sciences. He has broad experience in the mining and energy sectors at a domestic and international level.
He has been Senior Researcher at the Instituto de Estudio Económicos y Mineros (IDEM), General Manager of the National Society of Mining, Oil and Energy (SNMPE), and Coordinator of PERCAN, a Canadian technical assistance project to the Government of Peru in the mining sector.
Since 2020, he assumed the General Management of the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), an organization that has been gathering professionals in the mining sector for 80 years.
To date, he is the director of the following Non-Governmental Organizations:
- H2 Perú, dedicated to the promotion of Green Hydrogen in Peru.
- Agua Limpia, dedicated to promoting the efficient use of water for the benefit of vulnerable communities.
- Amautas Mineros, a college students group that promotes the knowledge of mining in schools nationwide.
- Asociación Cerro Juli, which promotes the fairground of the same name and recently hosted PERUMIN 35
