Pierre Gratton

Pierre Gratton has been President and CEO of the Mining Association of Canada (MAC) since 2011. Based in Ottawa, MAC represents the national mining industry in activities ranging from exploration to refining. Previously, he was President and CEO of the British Columbia Mining Association and held various positions at MAC, notably leading the development of the Towards Sustainable Mining program. Gratton has been honored by the Canadian Institute of Mining and holds positions in organizations such as the Inter-American Society of Mining and the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame. He is a graduate of McGill University and holds a master's degree in political science.
