Mauricio Macri served as President of Argentina from 2015 to 2019. His impressive political career includes two terms as Mayor of Buenos Aires, a tenure as National Deputy, and three presidencies at Boca Juniors Football Club. In recognition of his influence, he was named one of TIME magazine's 100 most influential people in the world twice, in 2016 and 2018.
After a successful career in the private sector, in 2005, he founded a political party that quickly rose to prominence, leading to his election as Mayor of Buenos Aires. A decade later, he became President of Argentina, breaking 70 years of bipartisan dominance.
As President, Macri focused on the institutional transformation of Argentina, overseeing the country's most ambitious energy and infrastructure reforms, with a strong emphasis on solar and wind energy.
Currently, he serves as Executive Chairman of the FIFA Foundation, where he blends his passions for education, football, and creating better opportunities for young people. He is also an author, having published "Primer Tiempo" (2021), which reflects on his presidency, and "Para qué," a book offering insights on leadership and power.
