Jerónimo Shantal - MINING SUMMIT

Jerónimo Shantal is the Mining Authority of the Province of Mendoza and a member of the Mining Environmental Authority of the same province, in the Argentine Republic. He is a lawyer, university professor, author of the book "Mining Digest of Mendoza and the Nation" and drafter of the current Mining Procedure Code of the Province of Mendoza.

He worked for over 15 years advising mining companies, most recently in the private sector, where he served as legal manager for Potasio Río Colorado S.A. and later, for Impulsa Mendoza Sostenible S.A.

In nearly two years of public office, he has implemented public policies to promote mining activity in a province that not long ago was categorized as "anti-mining." Today, it is a province with dozens of approved mining projects, a member of the Argentine Copper Roundtable, and a key player in the energy transition policies being implemented in Argentina's Andean provinces.
