Claudio Cáceres - MINING SUMMIT

Claudio Caceres is a distinguished executive in the mining industry of Peru, whose career has been dedicated to the development of Las Bambas since 2006. Moreover, he is a lawyer and holds a second specialization in Environmental Law and Natural Resources from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (Pontifical Catholic University of Peru).

Over nearly two decades, he has taken on strategic roles across the company, consistently demonstrating a remarkable ability to navigate the complex challenges of the mining industry.

Mr. Caceres currently serves as Vice President of Sustainability and Corporate Affairs, leading key initiatives that balance business growth with social performance and sustainability. His former roles — including Legal and Land Access Manager, and Interim Vice President of Community Relations (2018–2019) — have contributed to his comprehensive understanding of the synergy between legal and social matters in mining.

From 2023 to 2024, Claudio chaired the Legal Committee of the National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy. He now serves as Vice President and continues to play a pivotal role in shaping policy across the industry. With a holistic approach grounded in legal expertise and a strategic vision for sustainability and corporate affairs, Mr. Caceres is widely regarded as a respected leader in the sector.
