Augusto Baertl

Augusto Baertl is a mining engineer graduated from Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (Lima-Peru), with post-graduate studies at Harvard Business School and Northwestern University.
For over 30 years he held several positions at Compañía Minera MILPO, becoming general manager in 1992. From 1997 to 2003 was the chair and general manager of Compañía Minera Antamina. He is currently the chair of Agrícola Chapi, Gestora de Negocios e Inversiones, and Panoro Minerals. He is also a director of Alturas Minerals and FIMA, chair of CEDRO, and active member of the boards of directors of the National Society of Mining, Petroleum, and Energy (SNMPE) and COMEX. Mr. Baertl has been the chair of the boards of directors of the National
Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy; the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers; the Peruvian Chapter of the Latin American Business Council; and the Peruvian Canadian Chamber of Commerce. He has also been the chair of the board of directors of Atlas Copco Perú, Downing Teal-Perú, PETROPERU, and Graña y Montero. Finally, he has been the chair of different prestigious companies that operate in our country.
