Angélica Torres

Experienced geologist with nearly 25 years of experience in the mining industry. She graduated from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and holds diplomas in mineral resource assessment and geometallurgy from Universidad de Chile.

As geology manager at Antamina, she oversees drilling programs that are critical for accurately assessing mineral resources and reserves. She is responsible for preparing and providing the Strategic Planning and Business Management Department with the information needed to develop Life of Mine (LOM) plans. She also leads exploration initiatives aimed at diversifying future mineral resources.

Before joining Antamina in 2021, she served as technical services director at Appian Capital Brazil for two years. She also worked as principal and senior Consultant at Wood plc (formerly Amec) for a decade. Her extensive experience and proven leadership in the field make her a strong asset to the continued success of the PERUMIN organization.
