Alvin D'Almaida

He is Australia's Trade and Investment Commissioner for Chile and Peru. A geologist by training, he has over 20 years of experience in mining, energy, and international development. He has worked at Rio Tinto, Wood Mackenzie, and in strategic roles for the governments of New Zealand and New South Wales. He joined the Australian Government in 2022 to lead investments in critical minerals and arrived in Latin America in 2024. His current focus in the region includes sustainable mining, renewable energy, and education.
