Zetti Gavelán

Mr. Gavelan has over 25 years of experience in mining covering a wide range of activities such as exploration, development, construction, technical services, operations management, and investment decision making across base, precious and battery metals.  He is currently Copper Operations and JVs Lead, South America for Glencore Plc. His professional experience includes technical, operational, managerial and executive roles at Barrick Gold, Yamana Gold, Nexa Resources, MMG and Appian Capital Advisory LLP.  Mr. Gavelan holds a Mining Engineering degree from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Peru, a Master of Science in Mining, Geological and Geophysical Engineering from The University of Arizona in the USA, an Executive MBA from University Francisco de Vitoria in Spain and graduate studies in National Development and Defense at Centro de Altos Estudios Nacionales (CAEN-EPG) in Peru. In addition, Mr. Gavelan holds an International Certification for Board Members from EADA Business School Barcelona in Spain and an equivalent certification from Centrum PUCP Business School in Peru.
