Roque Benavides

Chairman of the Board of Compañia de Minas Buenaventura since 2011. His career at Buenaventura started in 1977. He is also Dean of the Departmental Council of Lima of the College of Engineers of Peru for the period 2022-2024.

Civil Engineering from Pontifical Catholic University of Peru in 1977 and Master of Business Administration from Henley Business School at University of Reading, UK, in 1980. He completed de Management Development Program at Harvard Business School, USA, in 1985 and the Advanced Management Programme at Oxford University, UK, in 1997.

He is a professor of the Mining Company Management course at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and a professor of the Management Strategy course of the Master's Degree in Mining Management at the National University of Engineering (UNI). He has an active participation in the academic field in Peruvian and foreign universities.
