Expert in macroeconomics, economic development, and applied economics. Recognized in 2024 by Forbes magazine as one of Peru’s most influential economists. He has served as director of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru and as an independent board member for various companies in sectors such as mining, industry, and agro-export. In the public sector, he has also been vice president of OSINERG and of the Free Competition Commission at Indecopi. He has worked as a consultant for the World Bank, the IDB, and other institutions, and has taught at PUCP and Universidad del Pacífico. He holds a master’s degree in economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
