David Schmidt

Minister Counselor of the Economic and Trade Section at the German Embassy in Lima, Peru. Since 2022 in this role, he supports bilateral economic cooperation, facilitating trade and investment relations between Germany and Peru.

With a background in law and a Master of Laws (LL.M.), she has an extensive diplomatic career in economic, consular and foreign policy issues. He has held positions in the German Federal Foreign Office and in various diplomatic representations, including Mexico, Colombia, Hong Kong and Berlin, with a particular focus on Latin America and the Caribbean. His experience supports his commitment to strengthening economic relations and promoting opportunities for collaboration between the two countries.
