He holds a Master's degree in Mining, Geological and Geophysical Engineering from the University of Arizona, USA; a Master's degree in Business Administration from Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, Spain; and a Master's degree in Development and National Defense from Centro de Altos Estudios Nacionales, Peru. He holds a degree in Mining Engineering from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.
