Karina Zevallos
President of the Equity and Inclusion Program

Karina Zevallos is an Industrial Engineer with executive education in Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Illinois and the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. She served as General Manager of Weir Minerals Peru, part of the global Weir Group, a corporation that provides leading mining technology with over 14,000 employees across 60 countries.
Karina joined Weir in 2005, including a year as Integration Project Manager in Shanghai, China. She also served as Co-Chair of the Weir Global Women’s Network. In addition, she was a member of the Pro-Women Committee in Science, Technology and Innovation (CTI) at CONCYTEC, Peru’s National Council for Science, Technology and Innovation, from 2021 to 2024, and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Society of Mining, Petroleum, and Energy from 2021 to 2023.
From 2023 to 2025, she was President of WIM Peru (Women in Mining Peru). She currently serves as a Director of the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP).
